The Second Disc announced today that there is a new Soundtrack being released on September 23 for the new movie "Northern Soul". [[The boxed set contains two CD's and one DVD containing an interview with the movie's maker.) There is no track list available at this time, but I wouldn't be surprised if it contains some Motown tracks. Here is the link for the Soundtrack, available now for pre-order:

Amazon U.S.
http://www.amazon.com/Northern-Soul-The-Film-Soundtrack/dp/B00JYDGFXA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410898273&sr=8-1&keywords=northern+soul+soundtrack

It is also available from Amazon U.K. I tried to provide the link but it wouldn't work for me.

Once the movie is released [[if it hasn't already), it should appear on DVD within a fairly short time, I would think. - Gary

Jack, I'm a member of the Motown Forum. I shared what I found for the benefit of my fellow Motown Forum members. If people should happen to see it on the other forum as well, no problem. It's better they see it twice than not at all.

FYI, from the SoulfulDetroitforums:
This beautifully packaged 2CD/DVD package will also come with a 20 page booklet specially written by Gareth Sweeney – co-author of the bestselling accompanying book “Northern Soul”.
This will be Harmless’ key release throughout 2014 and early demand and interest are already indicating that this will be a ‘must-have’ purchase for anyone who is interested in British musical culture, U.S. soul music and no doubt everyone who will see the film.

Cool, Jack. Thanks! Amazon didn't didn't provide a track list [[and they usually don't until the release date, especially for imports). I counted about four Motown tracks throughout. I'm surprised there weren't more. I'm looking forward to the movie DVD. Hope it's fairly soon.
