Oh my...another jazz great gone, what is happening to all our jazz artists, they are disappearing. Sad.
The younger ones today aren't really the traditional hip jazz. Sad.

May Joe rest in sweet peace.

I heard this news a few hours back on Peter Young's show on Jazz-FM.

Very sad, I saw him in concert a few years back along with his protogee RANDY CRAWFORD in Hammersmith, London and he was great.

RIP Joe Sample and thanks for the music ....

Sorry to hear that. I'm a big fan of his music. I bought all The Jazz crusaders' records I could find.

The Crusaders were one of the best jazz outfits ever. I loved everything that I heard from them. And his 'Spellbound' LP was a fantastic example of how wonderful he was. RIP Joe.

Terrible news.

All the greats are passing away one by one, and there's no one around who can come close to matching the great music my heroes brought out. back in the ay.

RIP Joe.
