Quincy Jones was thinking he didn't like "Billie Jean", and thought it was not up to the standard of the other tracks on the 'Thriller' album.....and felt he just must share that feeling with Michael....?

Everyone was happy with the final results, but Michael demanded producer credit and Quincy put his foot down. The reality is that Quincy, Michael, and engineer Bruce Swedien all pretty much produced it. But, Swedien mixed it alone.

I read it somewhere a few years ago but forgot. I KNOW it's something about someone wanting some kind of credit. I just wish I could find it.

The reason mj got pissed is because quincy jones told him that thriller would only sell two million copies which ain't bad but mj believed that it would sell much more which it did of course and he couldn't fathom that quincy had such little faith in the album.

The record buyer is so fickle that NO ONE could have predicted the success of the album.
