I've often wondered why the MotorCity Casino Hotel, smack dab in Detroit, wouldn't employ Motown artists on a more regular basis. From the looks of it, it has several entertaiment areas that have "house bands." Artists like the Original Vandellas, the Velvelettes, and others still live in the area; perhaps they wouldn't want a nightly gig, but one would think they'd certainly be open to a weekly, or monthly appearance. I mean, it's the MOTORCITY Casino.

Do many Motown artists EVER play there? I believe Diana was there no too long ago, but what about the Tops or the Tempts or Mary Wilson or Martha Reeves? Seems like it might be a good venue for the Jackson 4, or even Scherrie and Susaye. Or how about the FLOs?

Is it big or is it small? Can they all attract enough of a paying crowd to make it economic? Is the pay enough for them?

Mary Wilson was in concert at the Motor City Casino's Sound Board in 2012. Diane played there a year later.

I visited Detroit a couple of years ago and made a point of going to the Motown Museum. But I had not even heard about this casino or I would certainly have gone there also, since I am a die-hard gambler. Is it anywhere near Motown itself?

It's not far. It's like 3 miles. There are two other major casinos downtown as well.

The Motorcity Casino have a real delicious Seafood buffet and a real tasty soul food bufet on different nights. I went both times when i was in Detroit 2 year ago. Next time I'm in Detroit I'm going right back to that Assembly Line Bufet at the Motorcity casino for another great feast.

Yours, with every good wish.
