" Mary Wilson’s interpretations of Lena Horne’s songs shone as brightly as her many costume changes. From mournful low notes to hopeful highs, Wilson showed the packed house that old rocking chair ain’t gonna get her."

Mary is recognized as a tremendous talent all over the World. There are very few singers/performers that could pull something like this off! Go Mary! [[ you know you're badddd!) LOL!!!

Inherited my Lena stuff and love from my dear grandmother who passed on nearly 20 years ago. This doesn't quite do it for me - Audra McDonald is nailing Bille Holiday every night and I'd like to see Lena feted in a similar manner. Leslie Uggams did a bang up job as Lena IMHO. No shade to Mary but I like her doing a mix of standards like it sounds like she'll be doing with Freda Payne at that concert coming up.

this is more of a caberet revue and more suited to 54 below or dont tell mamas. I love Mary Wilson a whole lot and think shes got the best chin in show business but lets be real honest here mary wilson cant fill broadway theaters with this kinda show but she sure could fill caberet rooms.

Yours, with every good wish.

Mary has been filling theaters all over the country with this show over the last couple of years.

I have seen this show twice and neither time was it full or in a theater. Mary is very good singing these songs however she does not sing, act, behave or dress like Lena at all. She is Mary Wilson singing songs made famous by Lena Horne and does them admirably in a past-inspired visual appearance. This is not "theater" but more of a lecture with music. Audra McDonald, in her Tony winning, thrice extended run as Billie Holiday, is devastating. If Mary can act, this would be a good template for a theatrical presentation of Lena.

Mary was superb in this production and played to full houses in Michigan and elsewhere. She is a superb actress.

Where have you seen it? Is there another version of the show? What I saw had no dialog and only a few spoken lines which were eliminated the second I saw it.
