motown in Atlantic City

got my tix for Aug 17 at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City for Motown night with Jr Walker's Allstars,Martha & Vandellas,Four Tops and Mary Wilson.Sounds good.

Are there any original All Stars in Junior's Band now? Who would the Vandellas be? Still worth going, nonetheless.

I'm assuming the Vandellas will be Lois and Delphine.

Rosalind and Annette now tour on their own with a third vocalist as The Original Vandellas.

I'm excited for this show. Going up there from Boston. Never seen Mary before so that should be good.

I saw Jr Walkers allstars last year with The Contours and I think only one member is original but don't remember which one.Very few would know them by name anyway,probably.I saw Martha without any Vandellas about 5 yrs ago and she was n't good.Hoping she'll be better with a backing grp.Havent seen Mary since the Supremes years and Four Tops are only Duke original.

Super show to full audience.Jr Walkers Allstars on first.Good job.Martha and Vandellas next,Vanellas wer her sisters.She did all the big its but her screeching voice ets hard to take after a few songs but is better with background singers as I've seen her without any and it wasn't good.Mary Wilson was next,elegant and sexy even with her broken toe.Sounded greatad had audience with her from start to finish.a couple of mentions of "Diane" and tribute to Flo.Four Tops were last and did great professional nightclub style show with tributes to former members including a touching tribute to his Dad by Lawrence Payton Jr.Four Tops band led by Earl Van Dyke Jr.Great show,very classy yet still had that Motown family feeling.
