Hi John,

Looking forward to our trek through 1970 tonight. Will your lovely co-host Justine be making a special appearance as well?

I hope everyone took a hammer to their piggy bank this week to help with the pledge drive. Remember folks, even a fiver goes a long way to keep us in extended versions and interviews with our faves.

This ends my unsolicited plea for money on WOMR's behalf!

See everyone here at nine!
Glen

Actually, no Tammi Terrell in Get On Up, but still an excellent film

Sorry, Diana, [[as another thread has demonstrated) "Reach Out and Touch" is not a waltz.

Ralph says "Reach Out And Touch" is 6/8 tempo.

Sorry Mike. 6/8. you guys, Berry might have called songs a waltz and Diana also, and I realize it is rather difficult to pick up on, but these songs are all in 6/8 time which really seems to mimic awaltz time. On the song above, listen to the foot[[bass drum), count in time, starting with one and you will notice the bass drum doesn't return until you reach the one count again.

Speaking of Vanity, if she reunites with Prince in 2028 to make a new CD they can name it after her age, Vanity 69 :D

It will never happen though.... She is a devout Christian now....

I think Levi does a magnificent vocal on that - it's a tough job for his voice to nail that song, and it blows me away. just sayin'........... ; )

Johnny Bristol was promised a shot at both follow ups to Someday - and this was his submission for Diana. Life Beats for JMC

These Things not only has him on it vocally like Someday - but the bass lick is the same.

Dark Sidfe Of The World was cut for Marvin & Tammi, but Tammi never did her vocal, and Valeri didn't cover it for her
