Anyone planning on attending September dates without going to Stubhub need to hurry for non balcony seating. Caesars is gouging 684 per for 6th row on their site, otherwise it's the back of highest mezzanine.

The exception is Fantasy Springs just outside of Palm Springs. This will be her 3rd visit in 4 years and, oddly, just went on sale. Tix are cheap and 10th row is still available. It's a very high end casino in Indio, CA with a venue that seats 5000. There are cheap places to stay and play in the area.

Are there just 5 dates in California?

$335.00 for 75 minutes of the same songs for ten solid years....... $4.50 per minute to hear More Today Than Yesterday. Diana rocks but this is pure disdain for her fans. We drove up for Chicago but cancelled our June trip when we learned there was no change. No attempt to show respect or interest in her vast catalogue. All stars read their facebook pages. She knows fans are pleading for a new set list and just doesn't care.

High ticket prices are not exclusive to Diana. Looking back over the years, I have stubs from a Forest Hills Stadium concert in 1977 which was $20.00 for the top ticket....fast forward to 1996, when she returned to Forest Hills Stadium and that ticket was now $125.00!!! And even more troubling, rather than being right near the stage, I had purchased 6 tix that were like bleacher seats quite a distance from the stage. It was walking distance from my home at the time, and were it not for the fact that friends/neighbors had experienced her for the first time and loved it....It would be even more disappointing.
Now seeing her in San Jose for the first time, $125.00 seems cheap compared to Beyonce at $250.00.
But with iTunes sales being flat for almost 4 quarters, clearly touring/merchandising remains the most lucrative income stream for artists.
At least I've seen Diana for free twice in Central Park and then in 2003 in Greenwich.

There's a simple solution if you're tired of the setlist...don't go. If enough fans stay away and make it known why they are not attending, then there might be some change ups in the show. Also, her show is ultimately pitched to the casual fan as they make up the majority of the people in the audience, not the die hards. And Diana Ross shows her respect for her audience by giving the best performance and presentation she can give.

Smark is right ~ Diana Ross shows are aimed at the casual fan, not the diehards that have seen 20 concerts. And the Tour has been running years now and is highly successful both commercially and critically. There isn't any way she is going to be able to drop the Baby Loves and Stop in the Name of Love from her show. I also agree that for those of us that are tired ~ there are other shows.
