Just read someplace that she once recorded an album with Dexter Wansel that was never released. Anyone know anything about this? With so many re-issue companies out there these days, is it possible that someone might dig this one out of the vaults and release it? I would love to hear more from her heyday.

Casualy I have commented that same question recently in a spanish soul blog [["saleelsoul") and the only info additional I reach was that this album was recorded for WMOT when that company was almost closed and, subsequently, the album stay unrealized.

WMOT, perhaps have many treasures in the baults! Recently I downloaded a collection of Philly 80's soul of a very rare and minoritary label "Society Hill" with some nice tracks by Barbara Mason and Major Harris.

It's a crime that Margie didn't have a much bigger career. She's part of a long line of
female singers who just got overlooked though they had a better instument then some
so-called divas who today are international stars whose every move is fawned over as if
it was a critical moment...

as we know it takes much more then an exceptional voice to hit it big.

Yea, you're right...I guess Margie wasn't in the habit of inviting the company owners, producers, arrangers, song writers, janitor or all of the above home for cocktails and
entertainment...
