This just proves what I was saying in the other thread. It is something that happens everyday because it's only a handful of cases that someone can prove it. The article stated that there was a backlog of cases of chokehold complaints. How long do you think it should take to investigate something like that? And how many complaints do you need before you realize that you have a problem?

Unless it's not really a problem until the public starts to complain about it. And the public's attention span is so short that we'll forget this and the case of the brother they killed last week within a week or less. Just a bunch of fucking thugs.

The only thing worst than the behavoir of bad cops is that most and sometimes all of
their fellow men and women in blue will back them even when they know they were
wrong...

Cops have this us vs. them attitude. They act like it's a war.

Exactly. I've always held the opinion that if they don't turn in a bad cop when they find out about him, they're as bad as he is. But if you do turn them in, you may as well quit because they won't support you and will set you up administratively or in the field to fail. Even if that means you get shot for lack of backup. Again, look up what caused Chris Dorner to snap. He believed he was doing the right thing by telling his bosses about bad things that other cops were doing. In their eyes, he was the bad cop for not protecting the shield.

It's like no other organization I've heard of. Even the U.S. Military punishes for wrong doing. The NYPD have flat murdered people that I am aware of over the last 20-25 years and have gotten completely away with it.
