I just heard that the drummer who has been the mainstay of Sir Paul McCartney's recent live performances is Abe Laboriel Jr - son of the bassman. I had no idea - just saw a personnel list on a Facebook site. Family jams at the Laboriels' must be something.

Dude, where ya been for last five or six years?

Yeah, that's Abe's son alright. He's been great with Sir Paul as well as the rest of the band, who IMNSHO, is the best band Paul's had since that band he was apart of back in the sixties.

Five or six years is good for me, Chi! I agree that the band is superb. Wish he'd get them to transcribe the songs into a key where he wouldn't have to shout the top notes these days.

LOL, True that, bankhouse. Macca's voice has held up really well for 68 years, but it turns out he's no Little Richard [[who's voice is a freak of nature). Some of his songs have changed keys over the years. It is most certainly time to change a few more. Maybe I'm Amazed comes to mind.
