Sad sad news; Ralph Pruitt of the Fantastic Four has passed away. One of my favorite groups of all time!!!

They were a great group. I had no idea the other guys had passed. I remember playing their Alvin Stone album over and over back in 1975. Rest in peace Ralph. Thank you Stingbeelee for sharing this news, although it is sad.

The Fantastic Four are one of my favorite R&B groups as well. I long for the day when Ace Kent will bless us with a compilation of their fine Ric Tic/Motown recordings along w/ any unreleased gems that are sitting in those vaults.

RIP Ralph. My condolences go out to his loved ones...

You are welcome, Marv. Here in Detroit, the Fantastic Four were big, big, big. I think they played every release from them on the radio stations here. Even if the record didn't make the national charts, they played it here. Their releases were always high quality, it seems like the record companies took greater care with their records.

Stingbeelee, they sure were. I grew up there! I can remember seeing them on local TV in the 70's and on Nat Morris' "The Scene" on WGPR Channel 62. The did a lot of shows in and around Detroit. They had a lot of class!
