The blurb for single 7 isn't strictly correct

"The Originals - Don’t Stop Now
Sought after track, previously album only gem from 1969"

As "Don't Stop Now" was included on the "Tamla Motown Connoisseurs!" C.D that was released by U.K. Spectrum in 2001 ....

Equally Jimmy Ruffin is both on his anthology and MC as far as I am aware both were legal releases

I think the blurb is referring to the fact that they are first time on legal vinyl 45's.

I'd be way more excited for this release if the first set wasn't so badly made.

Does anyone know of a source of these collections being available in the USA? They are highly expensive ordering from the UK and the high postage almost makes them unaffordable. Thank you.

As these sets are specifically aimed at the UK's Northern/Rare Soul & Crossover scenes. I think it's doubtful that they would gain US release.

Product Description

Universal are proud to return to the popular Motown 7's release, and for Volume 2 we have made a few changes to the box packaging. We have adapted the label copy insert into a more substantial four page card leaflet. Vinyl will also be manufactured at Optimal to give the authentic push out centre hole of the time. Sleeves will be paper rather than gloss card. The selection of tracks again represent highly sought after vinyl releases compiled by journalist and DJ Richard Searling. Boxes will be limited edition and numbered.

This from Amazon UK site.

Sadly one of the things I liked about the first box was the cardboard sleeves, which are now being replaced by paper sleeves, presumably to cut costs yet the price of this release has gone up.
