Now see thats what im talking about. This lady can sing anything and recording a blues or jazz album would put the First lady of Motown Records Dr martha Reeves right back on top of the charts. Ive watched this here clip 4 times and I love it love it love it. Thank you Smarks31 for sharing this.

To me, it's ironic that Martha needs to spend so much of her time singing her great 'oldies' .

Her voice is now more suited to other material like 'Watch Your Back', and allows her to address a market which possibly may not always be too interested in, say, 'Jimmy Mack'.

Yes, thanks for sharing from me too....more please, I say...and write more songs for yourself Martha, just as you did with this one. They say more about Martha of today, than the Martha from half a century ago.:D

I agree with westgrandboulevard's assessment. The changes in her voice which have come about with age are noticeable when she sings in the high registers demanded by "Dancing in the Streets" or "Jimmy Mack." The material here is very well suited to her voice now.

I wish she would appear at the Catalina Bar & Grill in LA. It would be a perfect venue for her. It's a great place and I'm sure she'd pack the place.
