I just saw in today's Washington Post about MARVIN 75. Marvin, a restaurant named after Gaye and inspired by his time in Belgium, has thrown a party in his honor every year since 2007, but this year for his 75th birthday, is holding a special party. Performers include members of his original band, the Marquees, and joined by local R&B singers. There is free admission to the event scheduled for Wednesday at 4 P.M. at Marvin, 2007 14th Street, Washington, DC. 202-797-7171. Proceeds will benefit the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, an organization specifically chosen by the Gaye family. The restaurant's web site is www.marvindc.com.
