Hey gang,

I hope this hasn't been brought up before but there is a terrific DJ group out of the UK that has released a few compilations under their name featuring Motown artists/songs.

Smokey Robinson's "And I Don't Love You" [[from Essar) appears on the first release:

Scherrie Payne's "I'm Not In Love" appears on Volume II:

That version of Scherrie Payne's "I'm Not In Love" was not at all what I expected. The majority of it is instrumental and she only sings the chorus towards the end. I exchanged it at amazon as it was not what I expected. Eventually they got the 12" version which I always liked except for all those unnecessary instrumental breaks. I edited it and It still came in at a decent 6:21 minutes but flows along perfectly. Now I listen to it all the time.

Yes! I also purchased the song from the First Ladies Of Disco album! It's nice to have the isolated beats though! They also used Queen's Dancer on an early mix and a lot of Freddie's vocals were stripped to highlight the instrumentation.

Either way you hear it, that was a perfect song for her. Her vocals are just outstanding. I can just listen to that one over and over. :D
