Interesting selection of music there ..

The only one that sounded familiar was RUBY YATES - "Its Been A Long Time" [[and not just because it sounds like a slightly speeded-up version of "Like A Nightmare" by THE ANDANTES :)) .. a quick check of "The Collection" revealed that I have a copy of it on an old Goldmine C.D. called "Detroit Undercover".

Hello from the UK

And thank you for the invite to the site.

These tracks are very cool.

The first Carol Anderson is particularly good.

Never heard it before.

BTW, I run a Soul site in the UK:

www.classicsoulcentral.com

We have over 9500 tracks to listen to.

[[it is a forum site, so you need to join - but completely free)

I would value you guys' opinion of the stuff we have there....

What were the original release dates for these?

Are they 60's recordings?

There is a great version of Takin My Mind Off Love by Gail Nevels on Star Track, well worth checking out.

They were all from the mid or late '60s. The Ruby Yates was earliest, from 1964. Others were from '66, '67and '68.
