Does anyone know much about the MotorTown Revue from 1990? Who was on the tour? How many dates did they play? Was it a success?

I've done some digging and the only thing I can find is an old thread I started back in 2008 on SDF:

Maybe some of you who've joined since then have some insight?

ET did a story on the Revue back then. They all visited the Motown Museum during their Detroit stop. I think the Today show did a story as well when they hit NYC.

From memory, I think the participants were the Boyz, the Good Girls, Milara [[sp), and a comedian and/or rapper whose name I can't recall.

From this review , it didn't seem all that spectacular http://articles.latimes.com/1990-08-27/entertainment/ca-233_1_revue-motown-carry

Ahhh geez, It was 1990, reviewers! Can't expect the "same old" singers people may have heard in the sixties, reached their peak in the eighties. None of the big four [[Stevie Wonder / Smokey Robinson / Diana Ross / Temptations) had any big hits that year either. Let alone, was trying to reach a fresh, new demographic, with young, fresh, potential stars, with the attempted same energy. I presume that latimes critic was 40-50ish when writing article.
