Darlene did a mini-Florida tour, three dates, last week. I saw her Saturday night at Flagler Auditorium in Palm Coast. She drew well and the show was sensational. The band, the sound, the backup vocalists, including Ula Hedwig, were fantastic. I spoke with her briefly after the show. She also performed on Thursday in Jacksonville and Friday in Ft. Lauderdale. She did all the Spector classics, except any of those she did with Bob B. Soxx and the Blue Jeans. She also did a Marvin Gaye and Roberta Flack segment, plus "Lean On Me" and a GREAT rendition of the Righteous Brothers' "Soul & Inspiration" with her male backup vocalist. He also sang with her on Marvin & Tammi's "You're All I Need To Get By" and Roberta and Donny Hathaway's "Where Is The Love?". GREAT, GREAT show!!!
