Johnny Mathis gives the best live performance of any artist I have ever seen.
As a musician I say "He still has the chops"

Very nice article and back story on his appearance on Soul Train.

I remember watching this performance on a Saturday morning on a little black and white TV in work.

Saw him perform live last year and he still knows how to hold an audience

One of my all time favorite artists. He was my Mom's favorite as well, so I've been listening to Johnny since I was six. It's a shame that his album "I'm Coming Home" sold so poorly. It is one of his best and my favorite from that period of his career. He's 78 and he still sounds great. Go! Johnny! Go!:)

A friend of mine who lives in Chicago is not a huge Mathis fan and someone invited him to go and he said he put on a great show and he was shocked.

This was a good album by Johnny I wish it had done better I heard it on the radio. Great vocal and arrangement.
