February 9, 2012 I was in LA covering the red carpet event of Kelly Price's "For The Love of R&B", one of the many festivities surrounding the Grammys that weekend. Several celebrities including Brian McKnight, Faith Evans, El Debarge, Kenny Lattimore, Omarosa and many others appeared. All of a sudden Whitney Houston and her entourage strolled down the carpet and the excitement catapulted. Even though she went by quickly, most of the conversation among the photographers was how good she looked and how upbeat she seemed. Two days later I flew home and was in total shock by the news that Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel room. It almost seemed surreal considering I was almost at an arm's reach to her less than 48 hours prior.
She lived a life full of ups and downs but left a legacy of music that will live on forever. Hard to believe that it's been 2 years ago today. R.I.P. WHITNEYhttps://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153857212405457&set=a.10152435294450457.961741.503600456&type=1&theater¬if_t=photo_comment
