I also love this CD, one of my favorite compilations from the day. I think my other favorite is "Motown Sings Burt Bacharach." The "Beatles" comp is also good but not as good as "Sinatra" and "Bacharach."

I think the only thing disappointing on the "Sinatra" comp is that it doesn't include Michael Jackson's live version of "It Was a Very Good Year," which I think was from the first Jackson 5 special, even though the cover photo is definitely from that performance. As I recall, it was hilarious with clever lyrics about Michael's life up until his then [[10? 11?) years.

Michael Jackson's version of "It Was a Very Good Year" is from the Diana! TV-special, just before he and Diana Ross do the "bistro scene" in which he dumps her.

The cuts I like least are the Supremes cuts ~ Lady is a Tramp and Strangers in the Night, although I have come to appreciate Diana's singing on Lady.

Gladys's song is so kitchsy but I still like it a lot along with the Tops Nice N Easy and the Miracles The Best is Yet To Come.

Yes, that was a bit misleading ;-). But maybe they thought it was too short a performance [[about 1 minute), more functioning as an intro to the French bistro sketch. Perfect picture though for a Motown Sinatra CD.
