A bunch of us saw this group last Saturday and, just like several years ago, they were spot on - light years beyond Otis' group. They weren't exactly fleet of foot, but musically, at times, they sound as good as the group in their prime. They did just under 90 minutes and wowed us time after time, but Silent Night blew the roof off the place. It's amazing to me that they have spent so much time perfecting and honing their harmonies, special extended intros and endings........just phenomenal. Every member nails his part better than in Otis' group, plus, Paul Williams Jr, for Paul fans, is way too incredible - and the nicest guy you'll ever meet. I highly recommend them if you get the chance. I have a video of Don't Look Back, but don't know how to download it.

Greetings and happy holidays to all,
True, there is a big difference in the two groups.
We shared the stage with Dennis group in the UK
On a show, all I can say is wow.
It always helps when you have that lead voice still putting it out.
As far as Paul Jr. is concerned, he is one of the nicest guys you can meet.
Funny story, I was walking down the hall in our hotel,
A door opened, I said hey Paul , he said no.
WHEN I REALIZED IT WAS jR. I WAS WOWED.
He looks just like, talks like his father.
His father and I were pretty close.
I introduced myself, he said his dad spoke of me a lot.
That really made me feel good, I never meet him until then.
We hung out together, sat up at night talking.
He told me some very interesting things about his fathers passing.
All in all,the group is dynamite.

Usually, I don't support a group member who leaves their group, is unsuccessful with a solo career and then tries to reconfigure a new group using their former group's name - especially, if their former group still exists.

But, I have seen Dennis' group and I agree with you. They put on quite a show and sound great.

I have not seen Otis' original group in decades - except on YouTube, but I am impressed that he has been able to keep the group intact - though constantly changing, tour, and record. Something that Mary Wilson also did, but not nearly for as long.

But if I had the choice of seeing either group live, I would pick Dennis.

Did he sing Don't Look Any Further? That is one of my favorite songs.

I agree with you - kind of. In this case, Dennis is the voice of many of The Tempt's biggest hits and, IMHO, deserves to present his show as it is a definitive Temptations show. Otis, while a founding member, presents, IMHO, a sloppy mess with sweat literally flying into the audience with so/so vocals. Mary? If she presented a Supremes act, I'd be all for her using the name - IF The Flos weren't around. The Flos present a Supremes act, much closer to what audiences seek, so I'd be for giving them the name over Mary. Damon Harris' Temptations? I do not approve at all, for example. Dennis brings a true, talented, Tempts show with brilliant vocals. As a big fan of Paul & Eddie, it isn't easy to hear theirs do their songs, but this group makes it work. One of my friends is even more OCD about Eddie than I am, ad he, to my shock, was loving it. That should be the point: original members first - IF the act is a true presentation of the act.
Dennis did not do any of his solo work at Lucky Eagle Casino in Rochester Washington.
There was a tight, ten piece band. It wasn't perfect, the closer was an ill conceived mash up of My Girl & Just My Imagination. Songs I missed: Runaway Child, All I Need, You're My everything.

PS THANK YOU Ceasar!!

I was lucky enough to see these gentlemen, in Houston, first row. In Albany, NY, 5 rows back, and in Albany, NY 5 rows back again. I loved all the shows and in Houston had a chance to speak with the drummer at the time, drummer to drummer. At the second Albany, NY show, my daughter and wife got an opportunity to meet with these very gracious gentlemen, speak with them, get autographs, take pictures and even sing My Girl with Dennis and some of the felllows backstage. My daughter who was 9 at the time will never forget it, and as an entertainer herself, I hope she doesn't forget that if someone is coming to see you, spend a moment if you can.
