He is at peace now. I thank him for all that he did to free South Africa and set an example for people around the World. Rest in peace Mr. Mandela.

Rest In Peace Nelson Mandella. One of the greatest men of this century or any other century. You will be missed, but your contributions to all mankind will not be forgotten.

Few have fought so hard as he did against gross racial injustice. He must go in as one of the greatest men in this world's history.

He showed people how to be their best. A Giant among men yet he didnt want to be thought of as unique or special.

Woke up to this news today. While his passing is no surprise, it's such a great loss for the world at large anyway. Never be another like him. RIP, Nelson...

If only other leaders in Africa would follow his example, the world would be a better place.

One of the greatest paradoxes of world history is that the last country to free itself of
White supremacist oppression produced one of the most stellar human beings to walk this
earth while other lands that had gained their independence earlier were often saddled with
some of the worst dictators this world has ever known. What some on this forum already
know about me is that I listen to a lot of different music, including much from Africa, but
I have no romantic illusions about what goes on in the day to day lives of many from Uganda,
Kenya, The Congo, Somalia and other places. Theres an old saying Beauty carries death in it's arms; in a lot of places that my ears enjoy, my eyes tell me that's quite true....
