Japanese CD Numbers

Just noticed this number on my copy of Dancing Machine/Moving Violation. Japan UICY94296. Is it genuine? Would've expected the numbering to start at 0001.

Good News. Yes you have an offical CD from Japan.
That is strange that it is #0000. I bought the Promo box when it first came out and my Dancing Machine/Moving Violations is #0739.
I also have UICY-94295 Skywriter/Get It Together #1240, UICY-94294 Goin' Back To Indiana/Lookin' Through The Windows #2044, UICY-94293 Third Album/Maybe Tomorrow #0570 & UICY-94292 Diana Ross Presents/ABC #1972. All numbers were completely different even though they were in the box.
These were released Sep 09, 2009 and the date should be shown on the OBI back cover above the UPC code. If your OBI shows a later date, then it probably means that they reissued it a second time so they probably would not enter any number as they usually only number First Releases.
