Nice website. Does anyone know why the eldest Sledge daughter wasn't in the group? I remember as a little girl going to the same church as their grandmother, Mrs. Williams who was a former opera singer and all of Mrs. Williams daughter's could sing.

The eldest sister was a special education teacher but replaced sister Debbie during one of her maternity leaves. Here's a promo shot of eldest sister Carol while she was in the group for a brief stint [[front and center). She's just as pretty as the rest of them. 7523 7524

Blueskies, unfortunately things aren't very peachy among all of the members of the group. In fact the sisters are suing youngest sister Kathy over the use of the group's name. Not really sticking together like birds of a feather these days.

Yea it's very unfortunate. They definitely should have released more music and look and sound good enough today to have a place in the industry. Hopefully they will iron out their differences.
