Whilst I was browsing DFTMC tonight, I noticed that the Supremes 'Dr. Goldfoot & The Bikini Machine' was listed as being a 45 release on the American International label [[the company that issued the movie), cat. no. 6514. I saw that it was also included on the recent Supremes 50th anniversary singles set, which prompts me to ask two questions:

a) are there actual physical copies available of this as a promo 45, along the lines of the releases of 'the only time i'm happy' and 'things are changing'?, and

b) if so, why was 'bikini' not included in TCMS?

any ideas?[[and sorry if this has been covered before) - thanks.

I have seen the promo 45 of the recording, so it does exist.

As to why it wasn't released in TCMS, most of the promos in that series seemed to have originated with Motown and /or had a Motown catalog number, I believe. I assume DR. GOLDFOOT did not.

Can't you guys put "The Supremes" in the thread title so that those of us not interested can skip it? Not everyone here is interested in that group or its singers.
