I have the original Motown 25 that was released in 1983. The cover of mine shows MGM/UA Home Video vs the DVD notation on the cover of the one in the ad. I was unable to determine about the one that is being sold the play time. My original one has a screen time of 2:10 and includes an additional bonus: a full thirty minutes never shown before. Just my thoughts. Unfortunately mine is not a DVD; it is a VHS tape.

http://www.santaflix.com/mo25yetofo.html hmmmm, any thoughts? My gut tells me that this is a DVD-R that someone has made and is selling at $ 25/pop. I found another at: http://www.mediacollectibles.com/music-concerts/115-motown-25th-yesterday-today-and-forever-dvd-with-michael-jackson-jackson-5-.html that runs 2:35 for $ 10/pop. Another at: http://www.frankselvisitems.com/item/concert-show/motown-25-yesterday-today-fore/lid=3572109 is going for $ 20. Ebay has several laser discs [[remember them?), VHS and DVD offerings.

I doubt that any are official releases. As Woodward said, there are no company logos on the cover for UA/MGM or whoever would be the distributor. I did a transfer from VHS five years ago that has acceptable quality, but I'd still prefer to have an official release.
