Philly has never recovered from that time as far as I can tell from shows up in the news media. Which is why I'm glad I don't
live there or even visit anymore. I haven't been to Philly since the late seventies and I
have relatives there...

I lived in Philly when this happened in 1985. I spent a great deal of time in W. Philly and would past Osage Ave regularly. It looked like a war zone.

Yes, nosey....... Thank you for mentioning that. I remember reading of his death recently. That leaves just Ramona Africa as the lone survivor. It was horrific. It was unbelievable. It was sad. I don't know what the answers are or what Mayor Wilson Goode was thinking at the time.
