I've been loving that song forever and was very pleased to get it on a compilation cd a couple of years ago. That said it remains one of my greatest musical frustrations because
as hard as I've tried and even with the quote un-quote World Wide Web, I've never been able to find a biography of Bertha Tillman or a clue as to whatever became of her. We talked
about this before on the forum and I remember mentioning that I did find out she worked
with Sly Stone at one time but what else is still a mystery to me...

The very first time I heard this was on WAMO radio in Pittsburgh with Porky Chedwick. Great song!!!

Thanks, Methuselah, those links gave me at least two more bits of information I didn't have before; her exact [[ well I should say recorded ) date of birth and the age she reached at her passing. So it turns out she was only 20 when OMA was released. It's what happened in
between that and her demise which I'd still love to know...
