I remember watching this episode of "Match Game 75" when Connie Van Dyke appeared as a guest celebrity. The episode is on YT courtesy of Match Game productions. It was great fun rewatching it!

I remember the movie she made with Burt Reynolds, I think it was called W.W. & The Dixie Dance Kings, or something like that. She also changed the spelling of her first name, I think to Conny.

Correct. As a matter of fact, on one of the Match Game episodes she mentions being in the movie and Burt Reynolds. The movie was released in 1975 just before her appearance on MG. In 1974/75, she also released 3 country singles on the Dot label.
