Anyone know how Mary Love [[& Patrice 'Chocolate' Banks) came to cut this song written [[& originally recorded) by Nevis born Calvin Hodge Lake ....

Mary was always west coast based & I guess Calvin ended up on the US east coast.

I remember in the late 60s Mary Love was with Jubilee/Josie labels at the same time as Mary Wells.

Don't really know Ady, maybe it never actually escaped back in 83.
The Bridgette Cooper version escaped as a 45 on Birdie [[perhaps Mary's version was just a demo back then).
