United Sound Systems - Studio B

5840 Second Avenue

This small studio sits in the centre right of the original building.

Correspondence and empty master tape boxes  lie scattered on the studio floor. One such find was Aretha Franklin's 'Someday we'll all be free'.

I managed to persuade one of the current tenants, Tommy Rogers, to play Billie Kennedy's incredible 'This is a groovy generation' on an old compact disc player.

At full blast, and in United Sound Studios, this was an awesome moment.

Notes thanks to David Meikle
