Motown moved to Hollywood in 1972 and set up
shop at 6255 Sunset Boulevard. Today, their original Music
Publishing Company, Jobete, is still based there.
If you own a copy of Lanier & Co's L.P.,
of the same name, you will see the Interstate Bank Building on
the front cover.
In 1972 Motown's L.A. studio was located on
Romaine Street which is not too far from this building.
