Boo-hoo! I wonder how many of his slaves killed themselves because they couldn't handle their changes.

Paula Deen will bounce back, just like so many other people who have made racial gaffs. Don Imus is still around. Glen Beck is still around. Charlie Sheen is still around. Jesse Jackson is still around, and Deen will be too. All she has to do is shut up and hide for a few months. Hell! She doesn't even have to prove to anyone she is enlightened because there are enough people out there who still accept her. We've already got one Black pastor sticking up for her.

Maybe Deen should live in New York City for a few years. The city is highly diverse and liberal. Oh, she should live in a predominantly Black area. The point of that is to get away from that bubble of the white southern mentality. People are less bigoted when they travel and live among diverse peoples.

Sometimes the best way to deal with bigots and racists is to not get angry at them or tell them off, but show them.
