It is not like racism is something that is chronic and cannot be helped from occurring in society. It is not like it is a disease people are born with. It is a disease or a form of a set of beliefs that are taught to some not long after birth. I've seen children play together for hours happily and peacefully. They were of various racial and ethnic backgrounds. If you could follow up with those same children 20-25 years later, you will see that a certain amount of them will have some identifiable racial attitudes. That is how this shit survives in America decade after decade. They want us to lie to ourselves and to each other and pretend that it does not exist. The big question is WHY?

The big question is WHY?

Like everything else, it comes down to money and control. Racists don't want to have a level playing field. Especially with ethnic demographics working against them. Most of society's problems would be solved if there was no poverty. Economically, however, money is devalued when everybody has it. So there has to be poor people for the rich to thrive. And since Black folks have been at the bottom of the economic ladder, it's easier to keep us there than to find a new class to hold down.
