Thank you for all of this. I LOVE these vintage ads and magazines. I'm in a group on FACEBOOK called IN THE GROOVE and I've posted several there. There are some heavy music lovers over there btw.
A lot of "Pye Black Umbrella" ads there.
I went to a Pye Black Umbrella promotion back in 1976 - I think it was at a film studio - and came away with copies of the Real Thing album and the Barry White "Is This Watcha Wont" album.
I also got given a black umbrella with the Pye logo printed on it, i.e. a real Pye black umbrella. It was only a great umbrella until it rained, however. More than a light shower and it would start raining through the umbrella.
Good albums, though.
