Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...snow??? It's 60 degrees and will be all next week!!
We didn't get any snow here, but Storm Doris certainly put the wind up me.
We had 78 degrees yesterday. And sunshine for most of it. Now, it's already 30 degrees cooler and will keep getting colder for the next six hours or so. It's okay, though. I'm happy with the little unexpected one day vacay.
March is spooky though,it may snow next week.
Well,it looks like we're gonna get it tonight and all day tomorrow[2-12 inches]i gotta find a good hiding place, the wife will be on me to shovel snow and i ain't having it...bye!!
Just in time for you-know-who to decide to go to Florida for another "working vacation" on his golf course until the snow melts.
Seriously, that sucks for you guys. We're only expecting an inch or so.
pssssssss, hey jerry over here i'm typing this from my secret location deep in the woods behind my house, where the wife will never find me...i'm on a working vacation, hehehehe!!!
LOL. Well, I have a buddy who lives in the DC Metro and he said they barely got two inches. That's not so bad.
Well where I am [[NE Ohio) got at least 6, accompanied by the whiteouts & winds. I've seen it worse. I'm wondering about people in New England [[Maine). They usually get dumped on.
I live an hour or so South of you and we got possibly an inch. It's still on the ground because it was very cold for the last couple of days. When I ventured into it, I had zero issues [[thank God!).
Hey what kind of deal is this??? I lock myself in got my food an drink, got peace an quiet and no snow?...hey wait a minute...no wife nagging no chores...i may stay here forever...yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
You got food? Not sure about that part of your story.
Jerry, didn't you say you're in Columbus? If you are you are 2 hours from me & I am blessed with lake effect.
Yep, right here in the middle. Lake Erie is beautiful in Summer and a pain in Winter.
First snow in Florida for 30 years.
Yeah, and we've had over a week of temperatures in the teens and below. It's going to be up to the 30s next week, so I might have to dry clean my Speedos and go to the beach.
It's about[10 degrees]right now[yikes]!!!
Spring seemed to be on its way, but now we've got snow forecast for the weekend, and we've not long got over the last lot. Here is the sad tale that was emailed to me of what can happen in these politically correct times:
"8.00 It snowed this morning.
8.05 I made a snowman.
8.10 A feminist walked by and asked me why I didn't make a snow woman.
8.15 So I made a snow woman.
8.17 The neighbour's grandmother complained about the size of the snow woman's voluptuous chest.
8.20 The gay couple loving nearby complained that it could have been two snowmen instead.
8.25 The vegans down the road complained about the carrot nose on the grounds that veggies should be used for food, not to decorate snow figures.
8.28 I am being called racist because the snow couple is white.
8.31 The Muslim gent from the corner shop wants the snow woman to wear a headscarf.
8.40 Someone calls the cops to see what's going on.
8.42 I am told that the broomstick needs to be removed because it could be used as a deadly weapon. Things get worse after I mutter, "Yeah, if it's up your ass."
8.45 The local TV news crew shows up. I am asked if I know the difference between snowmen and snow women. When I reply, "Snowballs", I am labelled as sexist."
8.52 My phone is seized and thoroughly checked while I am being blindfolded and flown to the police station in a helicopter.
9.00 I'm on the news as a suspected terrorist bent on stirring up trouble during this difficult weather.
9.10 I am asked if I have any accomplices.
9.29 A little known jihadist group reveals it was their plot and claims responsibility.
MORAL: When it's cold, stay indoors."
You see, that's exactly why I wish this forum had a "like button".
Speaking of cold, I hear that a fourth Nor'easter in the past three weeks is starting to gather strength around Virginia before heading back up toward Marv and Company. Crazy weather already this year.
I haven't been able to find out who wrote it, unfortunately.
goodfornothinsnowstormin myhoodwhyme,arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......OH HI GANG,JUST THINKING OUT LOUD ABOUT THIS SNOW THAT HIT TODAY,WHY ME???
I don't think you're meant to take it personally...
We were supposed to get 3-5 inches and my area got [[maybe) an inch. So I'm good.
We got 3-4......and some melted already!
Our snow was gone by early evening.
My back is killin me,from all that shoveling...this is a young man's game...where's my heating pad???
hey arr&bee, why not use one of your elephants to push a plow?
I think he should use a drop of his hooch to thaw up the neighborhood, but he refuses to waste any of that wonderful elixir.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...you guys know me so well, hey marv, those elephants are hung over most of the time, and jerry one drop of this wonderful elixir on snow, not a good idea-think modern day ice age.
Well arr&bee must be seriously out of it if he's confusing Ralph with Marv
Temperature range here in London yesterday was a high of just Sheila Ferguson but a low of minus all The Three Degrees c.
More snow forecast for today. Anyone getting their covid vaccination outdoors today could end up in a #Flurry With the Syringe on Top#.
Oh, it's just as cold as Hell is hot here in central Ohio. Haven't had a sub-zero day yet this winter but it's barely gotten above freezing in the past week and a half. Thank God I'm retired.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa...hey jerry, why do folks say-cold as hell?? I was in hell once, looking for duufuss[kid's always getting lost]the owner ain't too frendly,i must have woke him cause he had on these red pajamas and was holding a pitch folk...i got the heck out of there, maybe he had the heat on cause it was pretty hot too!!
Well, there is a Hell, Michigan with a few theories on how it got its name.
I have no clues where that particular phrase came from. I also have no clues about how we got over two inches of snow last night when the four or five inches from last week hasn't melted. I'd suggest that I'll be happy when spring comes back but in truth, I'm going to celebrate if I'm blessed to wake up tomorrow morning. But dang, if it's not cold and depressing right now.
Minus 8C forecast in London today.
It's -5° C / 23° F here. And it's about to snow again. On top of the weekend snow.
Which landed on top of last week's snow, which never thawed even a little. Blessed with a warm home and the fact that I have nowhere to go.
Thursday 7:30 AM EDT -- 6 degrees F [[-14.44 C) Commerce MI, USA
