They headlined Jerry Blavatt’s 40th anniversary show this past Saturday. My brother was at the Kimmel center where it was held and said it looked packed. Hopefully something g will appear on YouTube

The Chantels were there..sound great!https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HmmTEnnClaI
Oh that sounds great, but Jerry Blavatt's 40th anniversary of what? He's been around a LOT longer than that! LOL!!!!
True lol! Apparently he started doing these shows 40 years ago! The Geator with the heater... Whatever that means!
I listened to Jerry Blavat in the early 80's [[Memories From Margate). He always talked through entire songs. It was a bit annoying.
My mother knew him back in the late 50's/early 60's. She made some funny comments about him [[none that I can remember now).
Where is So. Jersey did you work? I grew up in Ventnor.
Haaaaaaa, most of the old dj's talked through the songs, but made it work..i didn't have a problem with this tactic back in the day but i might now, funny how things change when you grow up!
Jerry Blavat, Butterball and Harvey Holiday were the best from that area.
I liked Hy Lit In Philly.
He had a show on “UHF”, remember that?... and Brenda was a guest.
We had our own Legendary Disc Jockeys in Detroit too. Shout out in memory of Frantic Ernie Durham!
Not sure Marv ... just remember how hard it was to get reception on my little black and white tv!
...and Niagra Falls on WIBG, Joe Niagra.Blavat loved to "rap" through the records as they played over the radio.and don't forget WDAS with Jimmy Bishop and Georgie Woods.I was lucky enough to attend several shows at the Uptown Theatre as well as Georgie wood's Freedom shows at convention hall.
Oh yes. Wasn’t Bishop/Woods involved in Barbara Mason’s career?
Thanks for reporting the YouTube video of the Chantels. Great performance although I would have liked to see them face to face vs. sideways, but at any rate, what is shown is better than nothing.
Does anyone know if there are any YouTube videos of Kim Weston's performance at the show? What did she sing?
