Mary Wilson to perform with Orchestra Kentucky!

  2. #2
I wonder if she will actually perform with the orchestra. Twice, I've seen her supposedly in concert with a symphony or pops orchestra, but in actuality, the orchestra does a set, then there's an intermission, and then Mary comes on with her own musicians after the orchestra has left the stage.

Mary has performed symphony concerts for the last 25 years with Symphony Orchestras all across America. The clips above are just small samples of these spectacular shows.

You are most welcome DET! I have the entire concert but have not watch it in years. It is one of her best concerts. Her reading of Billie Holiday's "Strange Fruit" was awesome.

Oh it was wonderful. She read from a Black history book about the Dred Scott decision and the Brown vs Board of Education legislation before launching into this slow, deliberate version of "Strange Fruit".

I love it too! She tears this song up. Standing ovation when we saw her sing it at Wayne State University in 1991 for the American Cancer Society Gala. Just knocked it out!
