...in the studio....Howdyyyyy!!
It's cold and frosty here in London. Is it too late to wish you a Happy New Year?
Happy New Year, John. Hope you had a wonderful holiday. Wotcha got for us tonight?
As Katherine Anderson Schaffner's birthday was celebrated recently, how about "A Need For Love" on which she is prominently heard?
Wow, the sound quality on the Marvelettes is ace!! Have you worked it over?
Gladys Horton on Forever? She does a fantastic impression of Wanda Young!
I have recently "rediscovered" your brilliant remix of Frances Nero's "Keep On Loving Me". I've sent it to my soulie friends in the UK and, amazingly, quite a few of them had never heard that song and LOVED it. Maybe they just forgot to remember it??
Snakepit would be honored by your choice of Soulful Shack as he named his U.K. internet radio show after it.
John, would you please give a shout out to Patricia Hall in Toronto. She's a first-timer tonight. Thank you.
Even though the Fantastic Four also recorded Loving You Is Hurting Me, David Ruffin owns this song with his stellar performance
Totally agree Carole.
To my shame, I still have a blind-spot for "Where Did Our Love Go".
John. I'm enjoying your show this evening!
This Eddie Kendricks song along with "Tell Her Love Has Felt The Need" are my 2 fav Eddie songs.
Is that Caston & Majors backing Eddie Kendricks?
Sorry to be ignant, but who's Majors? I know Caston.
John, is this your extended remix of Runaway Child?
Carolyn Majors was Leonard Caston's wife. Motown released their concept album "Caston & Majors" in 1974. No singles from the album were released in America, but in the UK three singles were released, the first of which "Child of Love" becoming a minor hit.
John: As always, thank you very much for the fantastic tuneage last night. I'm sorry I disappeared without thanking you last night, but I had to deal with a very sick dog. BTW, that Tom Moulton mix of Runaway Child, Running Wild was friggin' incredible. Was it ever released? Thanks again for a wonderful night of music. Mike Wheeler
Do you have a youtube link. I cant find it
I spoke with tom a few days ago. I asked him about "Runaway..." remix....he said he never posted it on youtube. It's MUCH rarer than I realized. Sorry about the mix-up....
John, thank you for talking to Tom for us. Greatly appreciated.
It's been posted on YouTube!!
Thank you for the heads up Texassoul
Here is the link to Tom Moulton's brilliant remix of the Temps' "Runaway Child Running Wild".
