Do you remember not being able to change the ribbons on adding-machines without getting ink all over your fingers...or was that just me who had that trouble?

I have a distant memory of that happening...but also remember typewriter ribbons as being fiddly, and the procedure involved in correcting typing errors was just as bad, if not worse....

I just finished a doo-wop compilation called[cool daddy o]which features such forgotten artist as..the passions..dion and the belmonts..the edsals...the teen queens..bryan hyland..the mellowkings..the diamonds..the shells,the five discs..the four counts..the quotations..the zirkrons..the hearts,fun stuff.
