Thread: cancel

  1. #701
    I'd rather plant some roots.........

  2. #702
...and start yourself a Shrub Club, moe....

  3. #703
I'd plant anything you can make alcohol from.

  4. #704
I have to say I'm quite partial to a nice glass of hemlock...

  5. #705
I'll try that if it's the last thing I do...

  6. #706
I do it, and I've lasted quite well...

  7. #707
You really DO look well-preserved, westgrand. And here I thought it was R&B's hooch that was the best "preserver" on the market!!

  8. #708
Ah well, it has to be said that arrr&bee's 'Hooch Original' is the very BEST preserver.

It beats every known jam or marmalade into second place. No contest. Well, all that sugar could kill a person!

  9. #709
Yes, sugar can be lethal. A crate dropped from a window can be fatal if it lands on a passer-by.

  10. #710
    I've avoided sugar for decades......

  11. #711
Saccharin's OK, but sugar's hard to beet.

  12. #712
Whenever I go to put in a hot drink, it often appears lumpy.....

  13. #713
There's a grain of truth in that.

  14. #714
The truth, the hole truth, and nothing but half a tooth!

  15. #715
    What about Stevia?

  16. #716
I had to Google that one. You're a real life encyclopedia! Are you a jungle woman, moe? You're very up on herbs and shrubs.

So, what can you tell me about Stevia....?

  17. #717
No, not a jungle woman, westgrand, but Stevia is a reasonable alternative when sugar is restricted. I've used it and thought is to be ok. However, the cost is a bit steep.

  18. #718
...and, from what I was reading, it's used as an additive in food/drink, sometimes...?

  19. #719
    Is there any aftertaste?

  20. #720
I dated a stevia once her father was a stevadoor,as soon as i found the backdoor i was outta there!!

  21. #721
And I bet you've crept IN a few back doors in your time, staying out too long, too late...

  22. #722
I wondered how long it would take all of you to make Stevia jokes! No aftertaste. I think we've all been out too late!!

  23. #723
I stay in now, thinking 'doesn't it get late so very early, these days'......

  24. #724
Quite right westgrand.........we're not getting any faster so time must stand still.

  25. #725
What goes around ,comes around, moe. Just grab it, each time it passes you

  26. #726
Time goes faster because people keep trying to kill it.

  27. #727
The more time is spent wondering where it goes, the more of it is wasted...

  28. #728
How very sage! You certainly know your onions. It's about thyme.

  29. #729
You could have made three posts from that one. Must be the season, for reason.

  30. #730
You two are so far ahead of me..........I'm gonna just curry on out of here.......

  31. #731
You're my flavourite flavour, moe - or flavorite flavor, if you prefer

  32. #732
    Are you Flavor Flav, westgrand?

  33. #733
Another one of yours I needed to Google, Moe! Never heard of him until now. We couldn't be more different - and he's nearly ten years younger than me LOL

  34. #734
As he would wear a clock round his neck, he should be banished to the "Just a Chime" thread.

  35. #735
    I'll second that.

  36. #736
    I'll chime in and agree...........done!!

  37. #737
OK. Ummmm, does that mean we shouldn't go there any more.....?

  38. #738
Could be time to ring the changes.

  39. #739
And do what? Am I supposed to cancel my plans again?

  40. #740
No, not at all, moe. Let's hold a reception. "The Cancel Thread welcomes Flavor Flav"........

  41. #741
Didn't your plans include Flavor Flav's chicken and ribs, moe? Your dinner is waiting for you in the "Just A Chime" thread, and it's getting cold now.

  42. #742
Dinner is served in the "Just A Chime" thread, moe.

And, to get you over there quicker, 144man will sing to you in this thread

  43. #743
"If you want it, here it is,
    Come And Get It,
But you'd better hurry 'cos it's going fast, la la la..."

  44. #744
    There will be a stampede.

  45. #745
The elephant from Ralph's house, no doubt.

  46. #746
    A worrying thought.

In my mind, that conjures thoughts of more than one elephant.

Suppose all its friends and relatives get to know the deal via Facebook......

  47. #747
    ...or herd through the grapevine.

  48. #748
As big as they are, they can creep up on you very silently.....

  49. #749
...but they can never get the jump on you.

  50. #750
If a very large animal weighing several thousand kilograms can never get the jump on me, I'd not like to meet one which could...
