    Alex Karras passes....

I was very sorry to hear this morning of the passing of Detroit Lion legend Alex Karras of liver failure in Los Angeles. He was 77.

Thinking back on those 60's Lions teams, names like Milt Plum or Dick Lane or Nick Pietrosante or Joe Schmidt are not the ones that spring immediately to mind. It's Karras [[The Mad Duck), one of the best defensive linemen ever to play the game. R.I.P. sir.

May the good Lord take Alex Karras home to be with his Heavenly Father and may he comfort his beloved wife who play his TV wife on Webster. He was a fine actor a real good football player and a man who lived free of scandal.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain for they will dwell in the house of God forever."
