That's how heartaches are made-baby washington

I was just listening to an interview with ms.washington and the classic[that's how heartaches are made]was played, what a pretty song and covered beautifully by the marvelettes whose rendition do you prefer? For me i think it's a tossup!

I can't make up my mind either. Dusty Springfield also had an excellent version.

Ah, that was a good song! I preferred Baby Washington's original recording.

Baby Washington - by a hair. Wanda really did make the song her own. As mentioned Dusty Springfield does an excellent version. I like Bette Midler's version as well. Randy Crawford and Loleatta Holloway also both put their unique stamps on it. It's a great song.

Bobby Hutton also sang a wonderful version. I like that tied for 2nd best with The Marvelettes', after Baby Washington's. It's a very well written song. It even sounds great when I sing it in the shower.
