    Barbara Billingsley RIP

Just saw on CNN that "Leave It To Beaver" mom Barbara Billinglsey has passed away at 94 years of age. I thought she was great as Beaver's mom and I loved in later years how she was unafraid to mock that image as when she appeared in the movie "Airplane!" translating jive, a very funny moment. She had a good run. But I will miss her. RIP Barbara Billingsley

One of the quintessential Moms of television...don't we all wish we had her as a Mom?

RIP, Miss Billingsley, and thank you...

Also, RIP to Simon MacCorkindale, the British actor who appeared here in U.S. TV in the '80s on the short-lived Manimal, then as a regular on Falcon Crest for a couple of seasons and, after that, the syndicated series Counterstrike.

    Best,

    Mark

After she retired as an actress, she ran a very fine dinner restaurant in West Los Angeles, called Billingsley's [[for about 30 years).
