ONE OF MY early jobs was in customer service for the Sharper Image, which had a call center here in Memphis. One day IN 2001 I got a call from Jeff Barry in California. I said: "Jeff Barry, the songwriter?" He said: "You know who I am?" I told him I did and knew the songs he'd co-written, Chapel of Love, Be My Baby, Tell Him, etc. He told I didn't sound old enough to know those songs. I sold him a lot of stuff that day.
