On April 25, 1920, Esther Gordy Edwards was born in Oconee, Georgia. If she were alive today she would be celebrating her 93rd birthday.

It would be appropriate if everyone observed a minute of silence today and would remember her in their thoughts and prayers.

She was truly a wonderful person and we all owe a debt of gratitude to her for establishing the Motown Museum. If it weren't for her, the museum and its legacy would probably not exist.

Thank you Mrs. Edwards for all your interest in preserving the Motown history for everyone to enjoy and cherish in the future.
