We lose another great Producer as showbiz 411 is reporting Phil Ramone has passed away. I know he was hospitalized recently but really hoped he'd pull through. Did a lot of great work with Natalie Cole, Olivia Newton John, Dionne Warwick, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Ray Charles, Julian Lennon, etc...

His wife was Karen "Itchie" Ramone better known as Karen Kamon who song "Manhunt" you may recognize from the Flashdance Soundtrack.

OMG! I cannot believe this. He came to Jimmy's show with Joe Pesci a couple years ago.

Phoebe only married once to Phil Kearns. She may have been involved with Ramone but never married him. he married Itchie in the early eighties.

He was a pioneer recording engineer, too! He recorded all of Dionne Warwick's hits on Scepter, most of Billy Joel's hit albums of the 70s and 80s, and founded A&R studios.
