Toni Braxton Bankrupt Again, May Owe $50 Million

    http://tinyurl.com/2bprl4n

Toni Braxton has filed for bankruptcy again, claiming she owes somewhere between $10 million and $50 million in unpaid debts all over the country, including DMVs in two different states.

Braxton, who sold more than 40 million albums in her career, just filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in California, and in the documents, the singer claims she's only worth somewhere between $1 million and $10 million, but she could have up to $50 million in debts.

In the documents, 43-year-old Braxton lists a ton of creditors to whom she thinks she may owe money, including:

    -- AT&T
    -- The Four Seasons Hotels
    -- Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
    -- Various medical bills
    -- DirecTV
    -- Neiman Marcus
    -- The William Morris Agency
    -- Tiffany & Co.
    -- Orkin Pest Control
    -- The Internal Revenue Service
    -- BMW Financial Services

Braxton also claims she may owe money to the City of L.A. Parking Violations Bureau and the DMV in both California and Nevada.

Braxton has a storied history of financial problems. She filed for bankruptcy back in 1998, and earlier this year, the IRS filed a lien against her for $396,000.

I've read over the years that Toni never learned to stop spending like she was still selling 6 million an album and bounced a lot of checks while headlining Vegas. While she remains a phenomenal talent, I think her time in the spotlight has passed. Going around openly complaining about the label your signed to doesnt help matters and recording trendy songs that really should've been sung by 18 year olds hasnt brought her back. Hopefully she can learn to downsize her life and regain some perspective because her ego has sabotaged her a lot this past 10 years blaming everyone but herself for where her career and finances are at. Remember when she filed the first time, blaming LaFace, only to get dressed down by Oprah on her show by telling the audience some of the foolish things Toni had spent money on at Tiffanys?

As I recall, Oprah did advise her about this kind of thing, years ago. One thing: Make sure you sign each & every check, and know the recipient. O gave baby girl lots of great advice that day.

    Tamla,
Yes, the DMV regulates drivers licensing and vehicle registration. DMV= Department of Motor Vehicles.

Well, now if creditors still give her credit, it's their fault. It's not like they don't have warning. Sounds like she's a spending addict. And her heyday is long over.

This often happens when people who don't know how to manage money gain sudden wealth.
